The song was inspired by Jessie, the brave cowgirl from Toy Story, and has a fun country feel that fits right into the movie’s world. Taylor wrote and made the song with Jack Antonoff, a songwriter and music producer who often works with her, and it mixes her signature style with a warm, storytelling vibe. There are also special versions you can listen to, including acoustic and piano edits. It’s the perfect mix of Taylor’s music and Toy Story magic!

Taylor is celebrating another big win! I Knew It, I Knew You debuted at number one on the ARIA Charts in Australia. This awesome achievement means Taylor now has 14 number one hits in Australia, putting her equal with Elvis Presley (ask your parents who he is!) for the second-most chart-topping songs in the country. Only The Beatles (ask an adult!) are ahead of her, with 26 number one songs. It’s another exciting moment for Taylor, proving just how much her Aussie fans love her. And the success didn’t stop in Australia! The track also hit number one on iTunes in 51 countries, including Austria, Germany and the United States.
A PREMIERE SURPRISE
Just days after releasing the song, Toy Story fans got the surprise of a lifetime when Taylor made a special appearance at the world premiere of Toy Story 5 in Los Angeles! TayTay wowed the crowd by performing I Knew It, I Knew You, but the surprises didn’t stop there! Taylor was joined on stage by legendary songwriter Randy Newman for a sweet duet of the classic You’ve Got a Friend in Me, which Randy originally wrote for Toy Story. Fans couldn’t believe their eyes as the pair sang the much-loved tune together.
TAYLOR’S BIG HONOUR
Can you imagine moving to a whole new city to chase your dream? That’s exactly what Tay’s family did when she was 14 so she could focus on writing songs – and now it’s paid off in a huge way! Taylor has become the youngest woman ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, making history with the incredible honour.
During the ceremony, Taylor shared that songwriting has always come naturally to her. “NO ONE TAUGHT ME HOW TO DO IT,” she said, explaining that writing songs was something she simply loved from the very beginning.She even encouraged everyone to follow what they love most, saying, “YOU REALLY HAVE TO PRIORITISE WHAT YOU LOVE, DOWN TO YOUR VERY CORE, BECAUSE YOU’LL NEED THAT.” It’sinspiring advice from someone who turned her biggest passion into a worldwide career.
Some of the songs recognised by the Hall of Fame include fan favourites Love Story, Blank Space, Anti-Hero, All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) and The Last Great American Dynasty.
